Alistair McGowan
Star of Alistair Mcgowan's Big Impression and Mayo, this brilliant
impersonator has many television appearances to his credit.He
is also well established as an after dinner speaker and
has spoken at events as diverse as The Professional Footballers
Association Annual Dinner and The Royal Television Society
Awards. Alistair has appeared on television as a comic on
a long list of programmes which includes: The Stand-up Show
Oddballs, Auntie's Sporting Bloomers, Tarbuck Late, The
Comedy Store, Talking Telephone Numbers; he was part of
The Royal Variety performance in 1995, and also appeared
in A Royal Celebration 1998.
He has featured many times as a guest on They think It's All
over, Call My Bluff, Under The Moon and The Best Show In
the World…Probably and has been involved in several sketch
shows including Fist of Fun and Ant And Dec and is part
of Scotland's hugely popular football spoof Only An Excuse.
Other TV shows include: guest appearances on Blue Peter,
Parkinson, On Side, The Priory, This Morning, TFI Friday
, and Sky TV's Apocalypse Tube. Alistair also narrated the
BBC Radio 4 documentary The History Of The Voice and provided
voices for an Aardman animation The Tortoise & The Hare.
Alistair was joint winner, with his comedy partner Ronni
Ancona, of the Variety Club Comedy Award 2002.
