Julian Richer
"Richer Sounds" the UK's biggest hi-fi retailer, named in the
Guinness book record for the highest sales per square foot
of any retail outlet in the world is the hard work of Julian
Richer. At the age of 19 he opened his first shop and after
a shaky start, now owns several successful businesses. Talk
about business expansion and diverse investments, besides
'Richer Sounds' Juilan businesses cover manufacturing, franchising,
the Tecno and Fox Talbot photographic chain, a retail recruitment
agency, a small commercial property portfolio and an award
winning restaurant. His book "The Richer Way" was the best
selling business book when it was published in 1995 and
he was famously brought in by Archie Norman to help revitalise
Asda. Besides being a motivational and powerful speaker
and writer of a regular column for "Q" magazine, he also
is a very benevolent and warm person. He provides free consultancy
work for some of the UK's largest charities, a Foundation,
which helped 250 good causes last year, Duchy Originals
(the Prince of Wales' charitable trading company) and he
is also one of the eighty official "Ambassadors of Youth".
