Rebecca Stephens
Rebecca Stephens MBE is the first British woman to have climbed
Mount Everest and the Seven Summits, the highest peak on
each of the seven continents. She is an outstanding speaker
on motivation and teamwork. Drawing from her experiences,
she delivers inspirational talks to business audiences around
the world on how to achieve absolutely the best performance,
both as an individual and as a team. Rebecca also talks
about leadership and parallels her experiences with those
of Sir Ernest Shackleton. Rebecca captivates her audiences
and encourages individuals to believe in their own capabilities.
2003 marks the 50th Anniversary of the first triumphant
ascent of Mount Everest, on 29 May 1953 by Sir Edmund Hillary
and Sherpa Tensing Norgay, the news hit the headlines on
1st June 1953, just in time for Queen Elizabeth's Coronation
the following day. It promises to be a big year for Everest,
a BBC documentary has been scheduled and wide-spread newspaper
coverage can be expected on the story. The year 2003 also
happens to be the 10th anniversary of Rebecca's first ascent.
