Firebird Events has been providing production and event management services for over 20 years and became a limited company in 2000.

The philosophy of the business is simple - to offer our customers the best service, exceptional standards of product and excellent value for money.

Over the past 10 years we have invested very heavily in expanding our own product base so that our production, team building and decor services meet the highest of standards. We carry a very large stock of equipment, our own fleet of vehicles, and very importantly our operational staff are all full time employees. This above all other aspects is vital - ensuring that you are super-served to the highest level by professional and passionate staff.


As an organisation we provide our services to over 1000 events a year and have been fortunate enough to experience a rapid growth in annual turnover. Our production department has seen a particularly rapid expansion over the last five years.

As we offer every possible type of event related service, our clients can use us as a 'one-stop' shop - ensuring that the get they highest quality and best value on the market.

Paul Griffiths Firebird Events Director


Paul Griffiths, Managing Director

Paul created the new Limited Company with Andy Hobbs in July 2000. Paul’s aim was to develop new areas of the business and create new customer markets. Paul is now responsible for overseeing the strategic development and growth of the business including marketing and product development. Paul is also responsible for some of the Company’s major contracts and heads the production department.



Andy Hobbs Firebird Events Director

Andy Hobbs, Operations Director

Andy, one of the founders of Firebird, is responsible for maintaining key relationships with our venue and intrade clients. Andy oversees our sales team and the vast majority of Firebird’s events – in particular events for intrade, venue and private clients. Andy also plays a key role in coordination of suppliers and creation of sales material. In his spare time he enjoys flying helicopters and is in the process of gaining his Private Pilots License.


Ian Gatfield Firebird Events Director

Ian Gatfield, Financial Director

Ian joined the company in 2001 in corporate sales and to oversee company accounts. Within three years Ian had established himself as a key performer within the Firebird group. Ian was offered a third of the shares in Firebird Events which established him as a equal shareholder and Financial Director. Ian is now responsible for the legal and financial aspects of the Company, and acts as a primary sales representative for some of our major corporate clients.

Nina Bullen, Senior Sales Manager

Nina has been with us for 4 years. She is a very dedicated member of the sales team - and deals with many of our corporate and private clients. What Nina does not know about team building is not worth knowing! Nina is extremely bubbly, professional and efficient - an excellent asset to our company.


Mary Hamilton Firebird Events Accounts

Mary Hamilton, Accounts

Mary heads our accounts department. Highly efficient, Mary keeps a ruthless eye on our cash flow and keeps the office gossip flowing! Looks are deceptive - don't mess with the lovely 'Scary Mary'!




Craig Taylor Firebird Events Production

Craig Taylor, Senior Production Manager

Craig is a strong member of the production team. Beneath his 'surfer' looks lies a truly committed and professional production manager. Craig manages many of our conference productions - again the feedback from clients is nothing but 100%.




Leon Bareman Firebird Events Warehouse



Leon Bareman, Warehouse Manager

Leon is a steadfast member of the team. As warehouse manager Leon oversees maintenance of kit and preparations for events. With over 1000 events a year, up to 10 vehicle dispatches a day, it is thanks to Leon that everything is on board and the events go smoothly.

Tom is our youngest member of the team. Tom has boundless energy and enthusiasm and absolutely gives 100%. His commitment and loyalty is unquestionable and Tom has had exceptional feedback from our clients.

Paul, known as 'Ratboy' has been a part of the team for nearly 7 years. Invaluable as part of our production crew, Paul's experience is extensive and knowledge of lighting and sound is superb.

Rob trained at Guildford School of Acting and plays a key role hosting and compering our team building events and evening activities. His enthusiasm and dedication is incredible. Rob also tests his creative skills developing new and exiting concepts for our Works Wonders team building department.

Danny, also a professionally trained actor, has a humour and energy that is unparalleled. He comperes many of our events and conferences adding a unique and exceptional touch. Danny gives 100% without exception and has generated a reputation as one of the best event hosts on the UK circuit.

Bill (and his cheeky grin!) joined our team in summer of 2009, Bill has been an excellent asset to our organisation, he has endless enthusiasm for his split role in production and team building.

Hannah is the newest member of the Firebird team and is proving to be most efficient in keeping on top of the vast amounts of office admin. Hannah is quickly learning the ropes and is assisting the events team in all areas of event planning.
