IAN RICHARDS
COMEDIAN & AFTER DINNER SPEAKER
Introduction
In over twenty two years as a full time professional Ian has
worked literally all over the world, including The Falklands,
Ascension Isles, Germany, Belgium, Florida, Spain, Holland
& France. He has made over 500 appearances for the British
Forces on the mainland alone and appeared in Summer Shows
in Jersey, Gt. Yarmouth, Scarborough, Bridlington, Cromer
and The Isle of Wight and for all the major Holiday Centres
including: Butlins, Pontins, Haven Warner, Bourne Leisure
and hundreds of other smaller operators. Since 1990 Ian
has been carving out a well recognised and respected niche
in the after dinner market, establishing himself as one
of the most in demand performers on the circuit today. Totally
reliable, impeccably presented, with fresh material and
of course most importantly very funny!!
Sporting Connections
During the last decade Ian has appeared at some of the countries
most prestigious sporting events working hand in hand with
many of our countries sporting legends including: Sir Geoff
Hurst, Sir Bobby Charlton, Freddie Trueman, Ian Botham,
Gordon Banks, Martin Peters, Bill Beaumont, Gareth Edwards,
Frank Bruno, Barry McGuigan and Jack Charlton to name a
few.
Ian is a regular at most of the Premiership Football Clubs
and many clubs throughout the Nationwide Leagues and lower
divisions. Having been asked to perform at many players'
testimonial dinners, he has also entertained the clubs sponsors
and guests at numerous pre and post match events. In 1996
Ian spoke at many hospitality events for the Euro 96 Football
Championships at: Villa Park, Hillsborough, Old Trafford
and the final at Wembley Stadium. In the same year Ian compered
The Boys of 66 World Cup Winners 30th Anniversary Theatre
Tour, and hosted the Reunion Dinner at London's famous Football
Footbal Restaurant.
