What does your role entail?
Assisting with the maintenance, prep and loading of equipment used in our events.
Where did you work before joining the Firebird Team?
Everywhere! I’ve worked in all kinds of industries, everything from ghost-writing, to construction, to hospitality and retail. My longest running job was a fifteen year stretch in Gamestation / Blockbuster Games.
How long have you been in the industry?
Since the end of 2024, at the time of writing a whole four months. Though most of my jobs have included at least some logistics and storage organisation skills.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’m an avid fiction writer, have been since college. I’ve written several novels myself and have ghostwritten a handful that have won awards.
Describe your personality in three words:
Cuddly Chaos Agent.
What do you do in your spare time?
If it’s considered nerdy, I’m probably involved in it… I run Dungeons & Dragons games, play computer games, paint miniatures and have Pokémon tattoos. If someone doesn’t know I’m a massive nerd, it doesn’t take long for them to realise!
Are you a morning or evening person?
I’m a creature of the night. My natural body rhythms put my normal bedtime about 4am. If the warehouse ever starts operating a night team, I’m jumping on that boat!!
What’s the #1 most played song, and why?
Tough one, I listen to a ton of music, mostly heavy metal or rock, but I’m probably going to say Drops of Jupiter as performed by Boyce Avenue is my favourite. The song already has a beautiful imagery to it, the acoustic cover by BA is really haunting to listen to. The original is one of my little sister’s favourite songs of all time.
If there was anywhere in the world that you could travel to, where would you go?
There was a trip that I regret having missed out on, the whole thing was set up but then covid happened and it all got cancelled. Myself and 13 of my friends were meant to be going to Portugal, renting a villa and timing it so that we had a week out there as well as seeing Iron Maiden on tour. If I could get it to happen, I’d definitely try to do it again, but I’ve not been able to get Maiden tickets since.
