Every January, we start the New Year with a plan to ditch the carbs, up our fitness levels and for-go our beloved glasses of wine in attempt to un-do the indulgences of the festive season and get ourselves ‘back on track’. Taking this a step further, the popularity of well-being and mindful activities is also growing.
In our often hectic lives, with demanding work schedules and lots of personal commitments, it can be difficult to find the time for a little self-care. The simplest thing from taking half an hour away from your desk at lunch time to go for a walk can make a real difference.
As a team, we have made a conscious effort over the last month to get together and give a few ‘try it at home’ wellness activities a go. Activities have included; going for a walk in the woods, mindful colouring and breathing for relaxation. Trying out these activities has proved to be a really good tool to bring us together, build camaraderie, reduce stress levels and increase motivation and productivity.
Supporting good mental health in the workplace is something that is becoming more and more prevalent and with fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and meditation all offering scientifically proven ways of reducing and managing stress, we have had organisations enquire as to what we can offer in terms of mindfulness and well-being, as an alternative to more traditional team building sessions. We have therefore come up with a variety of options offering companies bespoke wellbeing events based on their business needs and culture.
We can create dedicated programmes delivered by the best speakers, trainers, teachers and therapists. All highly qualified and recommended, our sessions are ideal for teams looking to introduce wellbeing elements. Our particular favourite is the virtual reality massage, where you put on a headset, allowing you to choose your very own relaxing spot on a faraway beach (other relaxing scenes are available to choose from) whilst enjoying a massage – pure bliss! Sounds wonderful doesn’t it…
From morning yoga and jogging sessions to enliven your event attendees, to lunch time mindfulness colouring and evening relaxation experiences, we have a unique insight into what’s popular, creating the perfect fit for your event.
