After a rather busy start to the year, we decided to have a little bit of fun!
Both our sales and production teams embarked on a very brave mission… Girls Vs Boys laser quest! After two games it was a draw with the boys winning the first game and the girls the second. It is still under much debate regarding who won on overall points, Hannah or Paul?! This can only mean one thing… a re-match!
The beginning of the month saw us at Coworth Park, Ascot, part of the Dorchester Collection providing lighting and furniture for the venues very own showcase day. Great Fosters was the setting for a charity event for the Weir Archer charity founded by David Weir CBE, 6 time Paralympic gold medallist! The charity raised over £19,000 which was a huge success! The first Saturday of March saw Firebird at the Hilton Hotel Wembley, producing another charity event for the Taylan’s Project raising money and awareness for brain tumours, the charity raised a whopping £31,500! Congratulations to both charities on their fantastic fundraising for such good causes.
Three of our charming non-operatic singing waiters jetted off to Guernsey for private party on the island, they flew there and back all in the same day. On the 13th of March Firebird were proud to produce the Radisson Blu Edwardian internal awards for the 3rd consecutive year at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow! We had Fullyfunktional performing who kept the dancefloor packed – it was a great night!
We have also had the pleasure of working with one of our long-established clients, Young’s Brewery. For the 10th year in a row we produced a beautiful marquee setting for their internal awards evening, which was ‘Vintage Circus’ themed. You can see photos of the event at our twitter page it looked absolutely stunning.
Let’s not forget about Mother’s Day, (although some of you may have!) We provided one of our fantastic close up magicians and a children’s entertainer for the Mother’s Day Luncheon at Wentworth Golf Club to keep the little ones entertained while the mums enjoyed their buffet lunch.
Team building has been as popular as ever this month, we took our Rock School team building day to County Durham where the teams created their own band! We also sent our noisy Crashing Waiters to a corporate dinner to entertain the guests and get them involved! They were very surprised to find their very own instruments under their tables!
When a client gives you two working days to book them an exhilarating afternoon, what do you choose? A passenger experience at Brooklands motor racing circuit! Our guests took it in turns to sit in the passenger seat of a Mercedes AMG and be driven/thrown around the track by one of their highly experienced drivers! To round off the event we took them to Barnett Hill Conference Centre where they made their own canapés - yummy!
We hope you are all looking forward to the long Easter weekend… here’s hoping the sun is shining and that the Easter bunny pays a visit!
