​We promised you an exciting announcement last month and here it is…

We’d like to welcome our new Production Operations Manager Josh to the Firebird Team! Josh will be looking after all logistics, warehouse, production equipment and crew. We’re very excited to have him on board!

It’s been an incredibly busy month, too much to tell you about, but here are May’s highlights.

We kick started the month at ‘On 5’ at Ascot Racecourse providing our increasingly popular Virtual Horse Race night! The client provided a band for guests to enjoy on arrival along with bowls of strawberries and cream and a glass of champagne. The guests also posed for photos next to a 2 metre tall bespoke ice sculpture, provided by Firebird! A huge amount of (virtual) money was lost and spent and at the end of 3 highly exciting races, one team were announced the winners and rewarded with more champagne!

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Watford FC for 11 years - last year they presented us with a signed shirt for 10 years’ service and this year we’d like to congratulate them on their promotion to the Premier League! This promotion came just two days before their annual awards ceremony which Firebird produced. It was fantastic to assist the club in celebrating their achievement! We wish them the best of luck in the Premier League next season.

May saw the end of the Samsung conference tour in which the production team travelled to Belfast, Newcastle, Manchester, Coventry, East Anglia and London! The team may be home, but it doesn’t stop there, we still have to edit all of the footage taken from all of the events…

Annually we work with one of the leading brands in swimwear to launch their new season’s lines. This year the event took place at Hilton London Syon Park, a venue we are very familiar with. Firebird were involved in the catwalk production, conference and gala dinner production, it was another fantastic event.

Our Gourmet Challenge team building activity was chosen by one of our clients for their event at Audleys Wood in Basingstoke. The guests were set the challenge of preparing and cooking their own 3 course meal! For starter they created Tomato tart with homemade pesto dressing & rocket salad, for main, Ravioli with ricotta and spinach filling with a sage beurre noisette. For desert the teams made lemon posset with shortbread biscuits & champagne truffles. This was a great way to round off their meeting!

As preferred suppliers to Coworth Park in Ascot, this month we provided an array of services for a 25th Wedding Anniversary including; a very stylish mirrored bar, uplighters and white chiavari chairs. The couple held a 3 day event in the hotel grounds, with family and friends who had flown in from around the world. The weather was perfect for the occasion and a wonderful time was had by all.
