Meet the Team - Josh Williams, Head of Production

So, this month we are featuring the wonderful Josh who heads up the production side of our business.

Day to day, Josh assists the sales team in the technical aspect of quotes, creating 2D and 3D visuals to give clients a better idea of what their event will look like. He also manages the production and operations team ensuring that the right manpower, equipment and vehicles get to the event. When he has the time, he gets out on some of the events himself too!

 

How did your career start in events?

Whilst I was at school we set up a Young Enterprise Company organising events for other years. Through these events I met a number of suppliers who I went on to work for.

 

What do you do in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family, walking the dog, watching tv and travelling. My dog Mylo loves coming into the office for an afternoon and gets spoilt rotten by the team!

 

Why do you love working in events?

Every day is different. Whether in the office coming up with ideas and planning future events, or onsite putting them together - every day brings a new challenge to solve!

 

What’s your favourite tipple?

It all depends on the mood I’m in, but a gin and tonic always goes down well!

 

How long have you been in the industry?

Since 2002. It was a corporate party at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower. From there I went to work at The Bike Show at the NEC and to be honest, after that it starts to merge into one…

 

Where is the favourite place you have travelled?

I’m a HUGE fan of the Caribbean, how relaxed everyone is with their way of live and the beauty of the place.

 

If you didn’t work in events where do you think your career would have led you?

As a child I always wanted to be a forensic scientist and I still love reading and watching programmes related to that field.

 

What do you think you bring to the team?

A sensible solution to every problem, that works for our team and our clients. The hours we work are long and it’s often stressful - it’s important to me to make it as easy for everyone as we can.
