30 November 2015
Firstly, we would like to congratulate one of our favourite venues, Great Fosters, as The AA awarded them with the coveted AA 4 Red Stars! Congratulations to the whole team, it’s really well deserved!
Kick starting the month was a ‘Grease’ themed party, which looked amazing! We provided the wonderful 8-piece function band Fully FunKtional, who provided entertainment throughout the night. They also had entertainment in the form of funfair stalls, including a Coconut Shy and Hook a Duck!
Another fantastic party we helped organise this month was Hollywood themed. We provided four 6ft golden ‘Award’ statues, a large LED sparkly dance floor and a red carpet amongst other things. To entertain the guests they had one of our fabulous discotheques, a photo booth and a six lane scalextric.
We were involved with a couple of amazing awards evenings this month. One of them took place at Pennyhill Park, and they had one of our top bands providing the entertainment. To enhance the space they had fairy lights draped across the ceiling and beautiful blue uplighters. Providing further entertainment for the guests was an iPad Magician and Keith ‘The Thief’ who is a pickpocket and magician – he is amazing!
The biggest awards evening by far took place at G Live and it was such an incredible night for all involved. The event was attended by approx 300 people, and we provided a vast array of entertainers including aero balance acrobats, liquid crystal manipulation and an aerial hoop acrobat. To mark the tables, they had numbered bubble balloons which looked fantastic, and to finish off the look they had stunning draping from the ceiling which added a little something extra. Craig Stevens, best known for presenting on Sky One, was the awards host for the evening; everything looked amazing and everyone involved had a brilliant time.
In the middle of November, our production crew headed to Brighton for a two day conference, where they provided full conference production and a gala dinner. There were four blackjack and roulette tables to entertain guests, plus 1920’s music and movies played throughout the dinner. The room was decorated with black and gold draping and the DJ booth was covered in white LED starcloth – another lovely event by the team.
One of our most popular team building events, the Gourmet Challenge, took place at Hilton St Anne’s Manor and the participants created some delicious food. For the main course they created rosemary roasted lemon chicken, served with potato rosti and market vegetables; dessert was sticky toffee pudding with a choice of butterscotch sauce or mascarpone chantilly. Just writing this makes my mouth water!
Towards the end of the month we started to head into Christmas party season early… We have had some great Corporate parties, with a huge variety of entertainment. We were involved with a party at Vinopolis in London where we provided all sorts of digital entertainment including a digital graffiti wall, a digital magician and a digital caricaturist! There was also a party at Pennyhill Park where we supplied archery, funfair stalls and Skittle Alley. Another great event we were involved in was a winter wonderland themed party and we provided a Dream Mirror, a caricaturist plus an ice sculpture vodka luge adorned with the company’s logo.
As we move into December we will be getting busier and busier with all the upcoming Christmas celebrations! So far we have over 200 Christmas parties and we are still taking last minute bookings, so we are gearing ourselves up for a fun packed festive party season!!
