In yet another busy year for the Firebird Team, we have produced a whopping 1300 events all over the UK and Europe. We’ve had the pleasure of producing some absolutely stunning events in some incredible venues. We’ve really enjoyed ‘wowing’ new clients and venues, and also providing services for our well-loved repeat clients too.
As 2019 is coming to an end we wanted to take the opportunity to look back at some of our most memorable events of the year…
Colour Trophy L’Oréal Tour
In March we were honoured to produce the 3 week long L’Oréal Colour Trophy Tour 2019 – an incredible setup across 9 regions in the UK and Ireland to celebrate the very best in hair colour and styling, the world's longest running live hairdressing competition! This is our second year producing the show - we supplied a full projection set, staging, an amazing lighting show, line array sound system, bespoke dressing tables and furniture, and full content and stage management. Our team of 12 dedicated staff worked tirelessly throughout the complex shows and rose to the challenge… We received outstanding feedback and are delighted to have been awarded the event next year for the third year running!
Fairytale of New York Themed Party
Held at the iconic Twickenham Stadium, this ‘Fairytale of New York’ inspired party for 220 guests was packed with references to the ‘Big Apple’. With an array of New York inspired theming props to set the scene, from working American traffic lights, to a life size yellow cab which acted as the DJ booth, and a black and white dance floor laid like a zebra crossing, it felt as if you really were in the ‘city that never sleeps’. In addition, each table was adorned with a custom made street light, complete with lights and street names. Guests were entertained by a sax player over the drinks reception and also our fabulous singing security. After dinner, guests were also treated to a performance by four street dancers and tried their hand at the casino tables. The NYC vibe certainly lends itself to a fabulous party atmosphere!
Alpine Village Themed Conference
Back in May we were lucky enough to fully produce a three day conference in the beautiful town of Chandolin in Switzerland. We built a fully branded event space within the venue, encompassing LED screens to act as windows and a custom built sail canopy to act as a roof. Using the theme of the alpine village, all of our production equipment sat atop of wooden crates and plinths in keeping with the venue’s surroundings. With the help of the LED screen windows and some soundscapes, we were able to transport the event space to anywhere in the world! Our team couldn’t get over how picturesque Chandolin is – it was such a beautiful setting for the event!
Greatest Showman Themed Party
Just a couple of weeks ago, we had the privilege of producing an awesome Christmas party for one of our lovely repeat clients with a mere 600 guests in attendance. To fit their 'Greatest Showman' theme we provided a jaw-dropping bespoke musical theatre show, inclusive of 10 professional West End singers / dancers re-enacting 3 songs from the show, which was just breath taking! We also supplied some mix and mingle magicians who performed over drinks / dinner, a photobooth, dream mirror and an array of sound, lighting, AV and onsite event management. A great night was had by all and our client’s feedback was amazing!
Molecular Challenge Team Build
Earlier in the year we ran a bespoke Molecular Challenge team build for one of our long-standing repeat clients, which was so much fun! Utilising various techniques, our professional chefs astounded guests, embracing the weird and wonderful world of molecular gastronomy. Once completing their boot camp, guests worked in teams to create magical canapes, gin spheres that burst in your mouth and even mango and panna cotta ‘fried eggs’. Some mastered the art more quickly than others – the key thing to remember is to stick to the rules! Floored by flavour, guests got to see, feel, hear, smell and taste the difference, with this multi-sensory approach to cooking.
The past few weeks have provided the usual festive party buzz, so we are certainly in a Christmassy mood and ready for an action-packed New Year!
