We are so proud to have won the SILVER award for 'BEST EVENT PROVIDER’ at the 2018 M&it Industry Awards which took place on Friday 2nd March 2018 at Battersea Evolution, London.
The M&it Industry Awards is the only independently audited events industry awards programme. The awards reward excellence of service and product and the winners are determined by the highest number of votes cast from clients. There were six finalists shortlisted in our category of ‘BEST EVENT PROVIDER’ and for our first year of entering, we were delighted to have been shortlisted, let alone win the silver award!
The awards coincided with the somewhat cold spell ‘The Beast from the East’, but in true Firebird form it was going to take more than a bit of snow to stop us attending! We braved the snowy conditions (equipped with plenty of supplies of course – it’s the event planner’s instinct in us!) and made it to a somewhat Narnia-esque Battersea Park without a hitch!
The evening began with a champagne reception, followed by a delicious 3 course dinner. Next came the all-important awards, followed by music for dancing and perhaps a tipple (or two) at the bar!!
The team certainly enjoyed donning their party dresses and tux’s for the occasion – it was rather novel to all attend as ‘guests’ rather than working!
As our category was announced we were all getting rather excited and as you can imagine, when Firebird was announced as the Silver Winner of 'BEST EVENT PROVIDER’ there was rather a lot of whooping and cheering going on! Our Managing Director and all round lovely guy Paul Griffiths proudly accepted the award on behalf of Firebird.
“We are delighted that after years of hard work, tonight Firebird got voted as the second-best event supplier in the UK by the event industry body M&it. It’s the first time we have entered the awards in the 19 years we have been going... We are so thrilled!! Well done to our wonderful team and thanks so much to all our loyal clients who voted for us”.
The evening also provided the opportunity to network and catch up with other industry partners with whom we work with regularly. We of course also took our beloved Firebird Ted along to attend the awards. Sporting a rather smart suit he very much enjoyed the celebrations!
To say we are chuffed with the result is an understatement, so a big thank you once again to our clients for their support and for casting those all-important votes.
We are looking forward to the 2019 awards already…
