We have been delighted to work with the American brand Stella & Dot whose European offices are based in London producing ‘wow’ factor sales conferences for them over the last four years.
Stella and Dot are a social selling company that creates flexible, entrepreneurial opportunities for women. Their boutique-style jewellery and accessories are available exclusively through in-home style sessions, by independent stylists and online.
Their EU flagship conference ‘Hoopla’ is held in London every July - this is where they launch their Autumn/Winter collection and other new initiatives to around 450 of their stylists. This prestigious event is certainly one of our highlights of the year too!
The main objective of the event is for the attendee experience to be fun, dynamic and inventive. The ultimate aim, is for the stylists to leave the event excited about new products, feel energised about their businesses and be prepared for their upcoming biggest selling season of the year.
This years ‘Hoopla 2018’ EU conference was held at The Brewery in central London and provided a versatile, unique setting, blending heritage with high-end facilities and a fantastic location. Our Head of Production, and Stella and Dot Account Manager, Josh Williams, was tasked with organising all of the production services across a number of event spaces including; the main plenary / fashion show space, five break out rooms (including the 'Walk in Wardrobe' showcasing all of their latest jewellery, clothing and trends) and not forgetting the all-important ‘after party’ room.
Set up commenced the day before the event and whilst this certainly wasn’t a small undertaking, nothing phased our dedicated and experienced Firebird crew. With rehearsals scheduled later the same day, we had to prioritise set up in the main plenary, in order for rehearsals for the fashion show to commence on schedule. The Porter Tun was host to the main fashion show and conference. We supplied a sleek 12m long white catwalk, along with impressive dual screen, flown front projection and a bespoke, custom printed up-lit set. To compliment this, we also supplied striking room lighting, including fresnels and profiles for mainstage lighting, plus Robe Spiiders and Beam 100’s as effect lighting. The overall effect was stunning!
To create the ‘Walk In Wardrobe’, we supplied; bespoke custom print artwork and signage, display cabinets for jewellery and clothing plus an array of pinspot lighting to enhance the new products on display. In addition, we also supplied PA systems, AV and staging in the other four breakout rooms which were used for smaller training sessions.
By the next morning, the event was in full swing with stylists and directors turning up for a day of fun! The conference was full of high-energy sessions ran by various Stella and Dot experts and the fashion show featuring their latest jewellery, clothing and trends.
While the main event was going on, our team commenced with the set up of the ‘after party’. We supplied various services including moving heads, a large black and white chequered dance floor, two impressive 10ft LED tree’s, bubble balloons and PA system for the DJ.
After a day of intensive training, networking and generally feeling super energised, the ladies in attendance were ready to let their hair down and the evening saw the attendee’s partying into the night…
