Full of passion and belief, Chris Moon is inspirational beyond measure. During a routine and supposedly safe landmine clearing mission in Africa, Chris lost his lower arm and a leg.
Less than a year after being discharged from hospital, he ran the London marathon, and the punishing Marathon des Sables, a 137 mile race across the Sahara.
Now a regular at the some of the world’s toughest extreme races, Chris recalls his accident, as well as the other death-defying episode in his life, being kidnapped by Khmer Rouge guerrillas, and channels his positive mind-set and sheer grit and determination to motivate people and businesses to push boundaries and achieve beyond their dreams.
Chris’ book, One Step Beyond, tells the story of his life, so far. From the deepest depths of misery and despair, to the elation of running the final stage of the Olympic torch relay to Nagano for the opening of the 18th Winter Olympics in 1998, Chris’ tenacity is the ultimate inspiration.
