AJ is super-efficient in her role as Head of Sales and can always be found notebook in hand, making lists of what needs to get done! Day to day, AJ manages the sales team, deals with enquiries and also acts as the main point of contact for many of our preferred venues. She also gets out and about onsite at events too! Outside of work she is mummy to two gorgeous girls and loves spending time with family and friends.
Where were you working before joining the Firebird team?
I was working as Events Manager at the very beautiful Coworth Park hotel in Ascot. I like to think that my previous roles of working in hotels, brings another dynamic to the team at Firebird. Having lived and breathed venues for 9 years, it’s great for my experience and learning, now seeing things ‘from the other side’!
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’m a keen horse rider! I have ridden since the age of 5, and love nothing more than going out for a ride in the fresh air and country side. Utter escapism….

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
What’s your favourite tipple?
Now that’s a hard one! A chilled glass of champagne…
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
Patience, because I really don’t have a lot of it.
What’s the #1 most played song?
My friends laugh at my musical taste! It’s likely to be something by a boyband, a 90’s club classic, or perhaps some Ed Sheeran!
Favourite event:
Firebird Fest! Playing a part in our company 21st birthday celebrations, which hosted all our wonderful clients was something pretty special!
Likes:
Organisation, good food, horse riding, cheese, spending time with friends and family, a good book, a trip to the Cotswolds and the sunshine!
What do you love most about working at Firebird?
The fact we are a small company, everyone has a voice and autonomy over decisions made in the business.
