Josh Brindley

Production Crew

What does your role entail?
I spend most of my time onsite at events, setting up, running and de-rigging events. You’ll usually find me working behind a lighting desk!

How did your career start in events?
As a toddler, I always made my parents sit behind the lighting desk at our local panto so I could watch the technicians work. My interest stayed with me through school where I ran my first production aged 11. I’ve been hooked ever since!

If there was anywhere in the world you could travel to, where would you go?
There are so many places I would love to visit, but Iceland is definitely at the top. I would love to see the Northern Lights and the Blue Lagoon in person.

Why do you love working in events?
I love the mix of technical and creative elements that come together at events. That, coupled with the fast-paced and ever-changing environment means that no two days are the same.

What do you do in your spare time?
I really enjoy racing in online games. I find this helps my brain to switch off from the outside world, as well as bringing out my competitive side!

What characteristic do you most admire in others?
I really admire when people put total trust in one another. I think that trust is such an important trait to have whilst working in events, as we are so reliant on so many different departments coming together.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would really like to play an instrument. I listen to a lot of music and love how it can change emotions. Maybe the piano or guitar…

Five words to describe what Josh brings to the team…
Passion, initiative, adaptability, reliability and creativity.
