What does your role entail?
Organising and delivering team activities and creative workshops.
What got you into the events industry?
I trained as a theatre stage manager and then worked in TV. I also did a season as a ski resort manager, even though I can’t ski! Weirdly all of this lead me perfectly into events and I still use the skills I learned.
What are you passionate about?
Nature. (Wildlife Wins is my favourite event!) I love gardening and feeding the birds. Since discovering that I had hedgehogs in my garden I now foster them from my local wildlife rescue when they are well enough to be released. I love watching them on my wildlife cameras and the first thing I do when I wake up is watch the video clips of what happened in the garden overnight!
What do you do in your spare time?
I love going to concerts and theatre. I was at Ozzy’s last gig and I’ve seen Hamilton 14 times!
Why do you love working in events?
I love seeing people enjoy themselves. With the creative workshops I love it when guests say they aren’t creative, or they won’t be good at it, and then they create something they are really proud of!
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’m a trained florist.
If there was anywhere in the world you could travel to, where would you go?
I’d love to see a show on Broadway and then do a class – maybe New York bagel making!
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Any crafts! I’m always doing classes and I collect qualifications. I have diplomas in cake decorating, soap making, candle making and floristry.
Random fact about you?
After attending as a guest, and curing my fear of spiders, I now volunteer at the London Zoo Friendly Spider Programme to help other people overcome their phobias.
Five words to describe what Angie brings to the team…
Creativity, passion, efficiency, an eye for detail and fun.
