Musical ‘Mixologists’ Steve Spall & The Violet Jive offer up a cocktail of ‘tiki’ sounds, blending styles and eras into a rich, full and intoxicating performance… Late night Swing/Jazz, rolling Rock, otherworldly Latin Exotica, earthy Funk/Soul & Alternative/Blues are meticulously mixed. Merging catchy songs, hot rhythms, dark riffs and lyrical imagery with their impeccable musical skills is mesmerising. The dynamic trio feature Paulo Beeching on the Double Bass and Matt Wilson on Drums alongside Spall’s lush vocals and ‘Spy-esque’ swing guitar. Often featuring additional musicians / guests, Violet Jive can expand to a 5 piece band to include Sax, Trumpet and/or Latin Percussionist. Be spellbound by Violet Jive’s fresh, yet retro vibe.
