Dare to brave the Hot Rods challenge?

Your challenge, if you choose to accept it – is to build a section of Hot Rods track, incorporating either a ‘Dead Man’s Curve’, ‘Loop da Loop’ or ‘Speedway’ section…

But first you must earn your materials – rods, tracks and boosters – by completing all the car themed challenges in your ‘Track Pack’.

Being incredibly specific, your track must meet a very ‘strict’ set of criteria, including height of your start and finish, and length of track! Beware the inspectors, they will be measuring!

Once your track is assembled, you can practice your stunts and tweak your track to perfection, before joining up with the other teams and making one big Hot Wheels track extravaganza. Perfect for big kid petrol heads!

Hot Rods Team Building Activity FAQs

What is the Hot Rods team building activity?

Hot Rods is a hands-on corporate team activity where your team must design and construct a section of an enormous Hot Wheels-style track. You will need to meet strict construction criteria while creating exciting features such as a ‘Dead Man’s Curve’, ‘Loop da Loop’, or ‘Speedway’ section.

It is one of our corporate activities that combines practical challenges with plenty of light-hearted competition, making it ideal for colleagues who enjoy getting stuck into something different.

How does the Hot Rods challenge work?

Your team will first need to earn the materials required to build your track. By completing car-themed challenges contained within your ‘Track Pack’, you can collect rods, track pieces, and boosters before construction gets under way.

Once you have everything you need, it is time to design, build, test, and improve your creation.

Does our track have to meet specific requirements?

This corporate team activity comes with some deliberately strict construction criteria. Your section must comply with requirements covering elements such as track length and the height of its start and finish points.

Our inspectors will be keeping a close eye on proceedings and measuring your creation, so accuracy matters!

What happens once the track has been built?

Your team will have an opportunity to test its section, practise stunts, and make adjustments to improve performance.

The real highlight comes when the teams join their individual creations together, producing one huge Hot Rods track extravaganza. It creates an entertaining finale and gives everyone a shared result to celebrate.

How long does the Hot Rods team building activity last?

Hot Rods can run for approximately one to three hours, giving you flexibility when planning your event.

Whether you need a shorter corporate team activity to fit within a busy conference schedule or want to dedicate more time to team building, the format can fit comfortably into a wide variety of corporate occasions.

How many participants are recommended for Hot Rods?

Hot Rods is suitable for groups of approximately 10 to 200 guests. This broad capacity makes it an excellent choice for smaller departments as well as large company-wide events.

For bigger groups, teams can work on separate track sections before everyone comes together for the final combined build. This makes it one of our particularly effective corporate activities for encouraging interaction across a larger workforce.

Is Hot Rods an indoor team building activity?

Hot Rods has been designed as an indoor activity, making it a convenient choice throughout the year.

There is no need to worry about rain disrupting your plans, and the challenge can work particularly well alongside conferences, meetings, and other indoor corporate events.

What skills does the Hot Rods challenge encourage?

The Hot Rods activity naturally encourages communication, collaboration, creative thinking, problem-solving, and time management.

Your team needs to decide how best to tackle challenges, earn materials and construct a track that meets the necessary criteria. That makes this corporate team activity entertaining while still providing plenty of opportunities for colleagues to work together.

Do participants need any engineering experience?

No specialist engineering or construction experience is required. Hot Rods is about teamwork, imagination, and having a go.

The accessible concept helps colleagues with different personalities and skill sets contribute, making it one of our corporate activities that can bring a varied workforce together.

Is Hot Rods suitable for competitive teams?

If your colleagues enjoy a little friendly rivalry, Hot Rods gives them plenty to get excited about.

The challenges, inspections, track criteria, and testing stages all introduce competitive energy, while the combined track finale reminds everyone that collaboration is ultimately essential to success.

Why choose Hot Rods for a corporate event?

Hot Rods offers something more memorable than a conventional office exercise. Your colleagues get a clear objective, practical challenges, amusing moments, and a spectacular shared finale.

If you want a corporate team activity that gets people talking and working together rather than simply watching from the sidelines, Hot Rods is an engaging choice.

Can Hot Rods complement a conference or company meeting?

With a flexible duration of one to three hours and an indoor format, Hot Rods can make an excellent addition to a conference, away day, or company meeting.

Adding interactive corporate activities can provide a welcome change of pace, helping colleagues reconnect and enjoy themselves after more formal business sessions.
