Christmas crafting fun...

Guests get Christmas crafting by designing and decorating their own Christmas baubles.

Guests visit the “craft shop” where they can choose from a selection of Christmas papers, sequins, jewels, metallic pens and ribbons to decorate their baubles. Along with our expert host, guest can create baubles that are completely unique to them.

They can show their personality through the design, or baubles can be personalised by adding names or initials. This can be done as a masterclass, with all guests taking part together, or in drop in format where guests join as and when they like.

At the end of the activity, guests will take home a beautiful set of hand decorated Christmas baubles that can be given as gifts or proudly displayed on the tree for many Christmases to come!

Christmas ‘Bake That’ Team Building Activity FAQs

What is the Christmas ‘Bake That’ team building activity?

Christmas ‘Bake That’ is a deliciously festive baking team building activity that brings colleagues together for friendly competition, creative challenges, and plenty of seasonal treats. Your team will work from dedicated cooking stations, using mini ovens, equipment, and recipe cards to complete three Christmas baking challenges.

With our expert chefs providing useful advice, techniques, and encouragement along the way, it is an entertaining and accessible experience for groups with different levels of baking ability. If you are searching for memorable Christmas team activities, this is a fantastic way to celebrate together.

How many people can take part in Christmas ‘Bake That’?

We recommend the Christmas ‘Bake That’ activity for groups of 5 to 100 participants. This flexibility makes the experience suitable for smaller teams as well as larger corporate Christmas celebrations.

Participants work together in teams, creating plenty of opportunities to communicate, collaborate, and compete. For companies looking for Christmas entertainment for corporate events that can accommodate different group sizes, Christmas ‘Bake That’ is a wonderfully versatile choice.

How long does the Christmas ‘Bake That’ activity last?

The activity lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours. This provides enough time for your team to tackle all three baking challenges, decorate their creations, and enjoy the all-important judging and tasting session.

The format makes this baking team building activity easy to incorporate into a Christmas party, corporate away day, or wider programme of festive entertainment.

What baking challenges will your team complete?

Your team will face three festive challenges designed to test a mixture of baking, decorating, and teamwork skills.

The Signature Bake challenges teams to produce the perfect batch of mince pies. Next comes the Technical Challenge, where your team will make gingerbread cookies, mix royal icing, and demonstrate their piping skills. Finally, the Showstopper sees teams decorating Victoria sponges using icing and handmade Christmas decorations.

Each round keeps the experience varied, making it one of our most engaging Christmas team activities for colleagues who enjoy getting creative.

Does your team need baking experience?

No previous baking experience is required. Our expert chefs are on hand throughout the activity to share advice, tips, and techniques, while recipe cards provide clear guidance for each challenge.

That makes Christmas ‘Bake That’ a welcoming baking team building activity for complete beginners, keen home bakers, and everyone in between. The focus is on getting involved, working together, and having festive fun rather than already being a star baker.

What equipment is provided for the activity?

We provide the cooking utensils, mobile cookers, cake decorating equipment, and sugarcraft tools required for the challenges. Ingredients, recipe cards, serving trays, and cake stands are also supplied.

Your package also includes table covers, gloves, aprons, props, costumes, team packs, stationery, and prizes. We take care of the essential activity equipment so your team can concentrate on creating some impressive festive bakes.

Who runs Christmas ‘Bake That’?

The event is professionally managed by our experienced team at Firebird Events. An event manager and First Aid and Food Hygiene trained staff are included, alongside our expert chefs who support participants during the challenges.

This professional hosting helps make the Christmas ‘Bake That’ workshop an excellent option when you need well-organised Christmas entertainment for corporate events without losing the relaxed, light-hearted atmosphere of a festive celebration.

What happens at the end of the baking competition?

Once the baking is complete, teams proudly display their creations ready for judging. A tasting session follows before the winning team is revealed and awarded coveted ‘star baker’ medals.

It provides a fun finale and gives everyone a shared moment to celebrate. Better still, any leftover treats can be boxed up to take home, so the enjoyment does not necessarily end when the competition does.

What does Firebird Events require from the venue?

We’ll require a suitable indoor space with approximately two hours of set-up time. Access to a kitchen for washing up is also desirable.

For each team, we’ll require one 6ft round table and one 6ft x 2ft trestle table, plus three 6ft x 2ft trestle tables for our equipment. Where possible, the ability to turn off fire alarms within the activity room may also be helpful.

Are there any special electrical requirements?

Our ovens are rated at 1,500 watts each and require 6 amps of power. Up to four ovens can work from standard room sockets. Larger set-ups may require 32 or 63 amp three-phase power.

If you are unsure about the facilities available, we can check the electrical requirements directly with your venue, helping make the planning process straightforward.

Why choose baking for a Christmas team building event?

Baking naturally encourages communication, delegation, creativity, and teamwork, while the competitive format gives colleagues a shared goal. Add festive recipes, decorating challenges, and star baker medals, and you have an activity that feels both seasonal and genuinely interactive.

Unlike passive Christmas entertainment for corporate events, everyone has an opportunity to participate. It is a particularly strong choice for businesses who want colleagues to mix, laugh, and create something together.

Why choose Christmas ‘Bake That’ for your festive celebration?

The Christmas ‘Bake That’ activity we host at Firebird Events combines festive food, friendly rivalry, and hands-on entertainment in one professionally hosted experience. With three varied challenges and support from our expert chefs, there is always something happening to keep your team engaged.
