Not only fun, but for a great cause too!

Teams play on mini crazy golf courses they’ve created, using craft materials, heaps of imagination and non-perishable foods, that are then donated to a food bank after the event.

After a fun warm up / ice breaker from our event host, the group are split into teams between 4-8 people. Each team is given a large piece of fake grass, plus several key mini golf obstacles, including; ramps, curves, loop the loop (and of course a hole!)

Each team will then choose items from a large selection of non-perishable foods (purchased especially for the event) to help build the boundaries and foundations of the course. Items include; tinned food, bagged pasta, boxes of cereal and bottles of cordial etc. After deciding upon a theme and with craft materials provided, the teams will then begin designing, crafting and constructing their unique mini crazy golf course.

The teams will then play the course, rotating around each hole, with entertaining and often hilarious results!! With competition hotting up, our marshals will be on hand to ensure cheating is kept to a minimum! Once every course has been rigorously tried and tested, the one deemed to have the overall best design and the most fun to play (with the least destruction) will be the winners!! At the end of the event, the food items will be carefully packed away and taken to a local food bank or charity of your choosing.

Not only fun, but for a great cause too – the benefits of which continue long after the event…

Crazy Golf Food Bank Charity Team Building Activity FAQs

What is the Crazy Golf Food Bank Charity Team Building activity?

Our Crazy Golf Food Bank Charity Team Building activity combines creativity, friendly competition, and charitable giving in one memorable experience. Your teams will design and build their own miniature crazy golf courses using craft materials, golf obstacles, and non-perishable food items. Once the competition is complete, the food is carefully packed and donated to a local food bank or charity.

It is an entertaining choice for charity team building days, giving colleagues an opportunity to work together while supporting a worthwhile cause.

How does the Crazy Golf Food Bank activity work?

Your experience begins with a fun warm-up and ice breaker led by your event host. Your group is then divided into smaller teams of approximately four to eight people.

Each team receives artificial grass and mini golf obstacles, including ramps, curves, a loop-the-loop, and a hole. Your challenge is to transform these components into an imaginative, playable crazy golf course.

How long does the activity last?

The Crazy Golf Food Bank activity typically lasts between one and two hours. This makes it easy to incorporate into meetings, conferences, corporate days out, or a wider programme of activities.

Despite its relatively short running time, the session packs in plenty of designing, building, teamwork, and competitive golf.

How many participants do you recommend?

The activity is suitable for groups of 8 to 100 guests, with participants normally divided into teams of four to eight people.

This flexible format makes the Crazy Golf Food Bank suitable for smaller departments as well as larger company-wide charity team building days. Working in smaller groups also ensures everyone can contribute to the challenge.

What food is used to build the crazy golf courses?

Your team can select from a large collection of non-perishable foods purchased especially for the event. These can include tinned foods, bags of pasta, cereal boxes, and bottles of cordial.

The items become boundaries and foundations for your course, creating an unusual construction challenge while ensuring the food can be donated afterwards.

Do we need to bring any equipment or materials?

No specialist crazy golf equipment or crafting supplies are required from your team. We provide the essential materials needed to get everyone designing and building.

This makes the experience particularly convenient for organisers searching for hassle-free corporate days out with plenty of hands-on participation.

Do we need to be good at golf?

The focus is on creativity, communication, and having fun rather than demonstrating professional putting skills.

Courses can be deliberately imaginative and challenging, so even complete beginners can get involved. It is this accessibility that makes the activity an excellent option for inclusive charity team building days.

Is the activity competitive?

Yes, but the competition is designed to remain light-hearted and entertaining. Once construction is finished, teams rotate around the different holes and put each course to the test.

Our marshals will keep an eye on proceedings as the competition heats up, helping to keep any creative interpretations of the rules to a minimum!

How is the winning team decided?

Every course is tried and tested before the overall winner is selected. Design quality and how enjoyable the course is to play are important factors, along with keeping destruction to a minimum as golfers make their way around.

It adds an exciting finale to corporate days out while rewarding teamwork and imaginative thinking.

What happens to the food after the activity?

At the end of the event, the non-perishable food items are carefully packed away and taken to a local food bank or charity of your choosing.

This charitable element gives the experience a purpose beyond the event itself and makes it especially rewarding for organisations planning meaningful charity team building days.

Can the activity be organised internationally?

The Crazy Golf Food Bank activity is available for international destinations, making it a strong option for businesses bringing colleagues together in different locations.

Its combination of familiar crazy golf, creativity, and collaboration helps create an activity that teams can quickly understand and enjoy.

What team-building skills does the activity encourage?

Your team will need to communicate, share ideas, make decisions, and solve practical design problems together. Everyone can bring something different to the challenge, whether that is creative flair, construction skills, strategic thinking, or putting ability.

For businesses seeking charity team building days with genuine opportunities for collaboration, the format offers far more than a standard social activity.

Why choose Crazy Golf Food Bank for your next team-building event?

The Crazy Golf Food Bank activity we host at Firebird Events brings together three powerful ingredients: teamwork, entertainment, and positive social impact. Your colleagues get the satisfaction of designing something from scratch, the excitement of competing against other teams, and the knowledge that the food used during the challenge will support a worthwhile cause afterwards.

As one of our more memorable charity team building days out, it is a creative way to bring people together while ensuring the positive impact continues after the final putt.
